Frisco TX

Frisco TX is a city in Collin County, Texas, United States. It is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and is approximately 25 miles (40 km) north of downtown Dallas. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 116,989. Frisco was the fastest-growing city in the United States from 2000 to 2009 according to the US Census Bureau and ranked fourth in this same category from 2009 to 2010. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, Frisco began a rapid transition from an agricultural community to a suburban powerhouse due in large part to its proximity to Legacy Business Park—30,000 acres (120 km2) of office space laid out in 28 square miles (73 km2). Frisco is home to several professional sports teams, including FC Dallas of Major League Soccer, the Frisco RoughRiders of Minor League Baseball, and the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League. The city is also home to numerous high-rise developments such as Austin Ranch, Hall Park, and Windsong Ranch as well as many Fortune 500 companies such as Cummins, FedEx Office (formerly Kinko's), and JPMorgan Chase.

Frisco was voted by MONEY magazine in 2006 as one of the "Best Places to Live" in the Western United States, ranking number four. In 2007, Forbes magazine ranked Frisco as the eleventh fastest-growing suburb in America. In 2008, Frisco was ranked the third fastest-growing city in the nation 2007 to 2008 by CNNmoney.com. In 2009, CNBC ranked Frisco as the fifth fastest-growing suburb of Dallas-Fort Worth.

Frisco was named the best place to move to in America by Money magazine in 2014, and Kiplinger declared it one of the "10 Great Cities for Raising Families" in 2013.

Frisco is a part of the fast-growing northern suburbs of Dallas known as "The Colony". The area's proximity to Dallas and major highways has made it one of the fastest-growing cities in the United States. Frisco was the first community in Texas to build a publicly accessible pedestrian walkway system called the "Trailhead at Frisco Commons"

Frisco is home to many corporate headquarters, including the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters and Ford Motor Company's North American Logistics Campus. The Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters complex includes offices, training facilities, a medical facility, merchandise stores, and restaurants. The outdoor area of the complex features two football fields, an outdoor amphitheater, and a 12-acre (49,000 m2) lake.
