Erwin Park in McKinney, Texas
Erwin Park is a beautiful aquatic centre off Virginia Parkway in McKinney, built to represent Texas's fine lakes. The City of McKinney has created several lakes just for this park. The main lake has an interactive fountain with jets from its bottom and four smaller ponds spread throughout the park. They also have an amphitheatre, walking trails with historical markers attached to scenic viewing areas of the lake, and picnic tables for family outings.
The Erwin Park Lake offers a unique experience to Texas lakes. Each year, a spooktacular event gives kids ages 12 and under free admission to the park on a designated day in October.
